Baan Sammi is the name of the property, which includes two enterprises: house rentals (Baan Sammi Nature Retreat — บ้านแซมมี เนเจอร์รีทรีต), and a bamboo garden (formerly, Bambusetum Baan Sammi — สวนไผ่บ้านแซมมี). As of October 2023, Google Maps displays Baan Sammi as follows:
- "Baan Sammi Nature Retreat — บ้านแซมมี เนเจอร์รีทรีต", zoom level 17 or 18 (highly enlarged map), with the pin on the main entrance gate of Baan Sammi.
- "สวนไผ่บ้านแซมมี - Bambusetum Baan Sammi" has no more been displayed on Google Maps since 21 September 2025, as this non-commercial enterprise ceased its accessibility to the general public from that date.

To search Baan Sammi on Google Maps, you can type (or copy + paste) the following phrases into the Google Maps search box:
- "Baan Sammi" or "Baan Sammi Nature Retreat": Google displays Baan Sammi Nature Retreat with a pin at zoom level 17 (greatly enlarged map) and with the correct address.
- "สวนไผ่บ้านแซมมี" or "Bambusetum Baan Sammi": Google will no longer display this enterprise but may instead show Baan Sammi Nature Retreat.
Adding the city name or country name into the search box e.g., "Chiang Mai", or "Thailand", is unnecessary. Please pay attention to the correct spelling. Any deviation thereof e.g., Baansammi, Ban Sammi, Ban Sammy, or Baan Sammy, leads to no or an incorrect search result.

Alternatively, you can find the location of Baan Sammi on Google Maps if you enter (copy + paste) the coordinates "18.83520, 99.10765" into the Google Maps search box.
History: A listing on Google Maps was initially only possible for the Bambusetum and only later for the house rental business. The reason was Google's internal policies (see notes on Google Maps and Grab Maps), which later changed. This may be the reason why, at least in the past, older names of Baan Sammi were additionally displayed in the result box.
Other maps: There are many other maps based on Google Maps (e.g., Waze). On these maps, you can search for "Baan Sammi" or "Bambusetum Baan Sammi" and find one of both names displayed on these maps.
Navigation: Usually, Google provides not only a single route to the destination but also optional ones. To navigate from the city of Chiang Mai ("Mueang Chiang Mai District"), or from the airport ("Chiang Mai International Airport"), the best route (with regard to orientation and travel time) is the one in which you choose Highway #118 when approaching Baan Sammi. To easily find this route on Google Maps, you can split the route to Baan Sammi into 2 parts: As a virtual first destination, enter "Horizon" (Village & Resort, at Highway #118) on your device. Then enter "Baan Sammi" as your final destination.
